: the aftermath! |

A
bit late as always, but a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who headed
along to one of our best PH events since.. ooh, we reckon PH5.5.
It
seems the wait (and the wonderfully tacky theme), won many hearts over,
and it was fantastic to see the effort many of you made with costumes
and of course, your appreciation which made the world famous vibe of
Planet Hardcore what it is!
Another PH is being discussed, but
like all good things, we don't want to jump the gun and spoil you too
early, but will be back before the year is out. Photos have been a bit
delayed in coming, but we expect them up on this very site by the
weekend - keep checking!
Speaking of the site, we must apologise
for the overrule of spambots that took our forum by the balls over
the last few weeks, and resulted in us coming to a decision to
remove the public posting aspect altogether, and return it to the
original intentions as a listening post. We hadn't seen much
interaction in a few months, so felt this wasn't a lost cause.
If
you have any concerns or comments regarding this (or idneed anything
ont his or our other EPL sites), please let us know via the usual
channels.

April
knocking on our door - and Kam & Scoob-E
returned to the UPFM airwaves for our
next monthly installment of Hardcore
goodness onto Auckland's airwaves. This month
also let our listeners know about PLANET HARDCORE 8,
which is (longly) overdue for May
(that's, next month sports fans), along with a healthy
response from you all about ideas for
the next party. Got any yourself? Make sure you let us know about it on
our feedfback page!
Don't forget that next month
is Planet Hardcore Radio's SECOND BIRTHDAY!
Yes, we know it was officially this month, but we forgot
- and not all of us were present for the
festivities. We can't quite promise the hedonistic
4-hour marathon of last year's anniversary shows, but
we'll do what we can with a 6pm timeslot...
I
am not a RealPlayer hater and would like to listen please!

Back
for March, another PHR hit the waves -
and showed we were getting into the swings of having 3 presenters, in a
family-friendly 6pm timeslot (apart from
the odd profanity that slipped through
the net). You should notice that the sound quality of the recordings
has now improved dramatically, as we've sorted it out with UPFM
themselves to record the shows directly off their webstream server,
rather than the rangi efforts we used before...
This month was a "Pharmacy Special" -
which, in itself, had absolutely nothing to do with Planet Hardcore,
but as we're good mates of Cynergy (and
as two of us were playing at the gigs wearing our Hard
Dance hats), we felt it fair to slip in multiple plugs
for the gig (which, we must say, was awesome),
as well a sampler 30 minute set
from Delegate/DamNation. Kam and Ares
provided the hardcore business, with the latter on a FinNRG tip.
Incredibly dry 'natural' flavour Nachos
were served during the show, which answered as to why Scoob had his mouth
full for half the show. We quite liked the on-air
"crunch test" though. Munch.
As always, head to the Audioforum
and check out the set, or be lazy and click below:

Tipped hats all round to BJ again for another
excellent set of PH photos! As always, click the images menu above and check out
the set, along with a few galleries
of previous PH parties too.
We'd also like to thank everyone who came
on Saturday for our most successful birthday
celebration yet! Poor old Dammers was
left somewhat stumped as he finally got
to play Gabber at 5am, and yet looked up 20
minutes later to find MORE people there than when he started!
Eventually though, we had to pull the plug at 6.40am...
No plans for another PH this year, but
we'll be back with Planet Hardcore 8 in the New Year
- with another fantastically cliched theme!
